This bright & sunny two-story vacation rental is perfect for your next beach getaway! With beautiful hardwood floors throughout, good quality white linens and towels, comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen, you will find all you need in this lovely cottage. We also provide fresh flowers, generous welcome snacks, coffee, tea, sugars and creamers, instant oatmeal, plus filtered & sparkling water in the refrigerator; all complimentary. If you have a larger group and you want to be close to each other, then rent Unit B! It is next door and has an identical lay-out to Unit A. We cater to families with children, so we have a Graco pack-n-play, sheet, high chair, & baby gate onsite, as well as family friendly board games, puzzles and books.

I am available for concierge services. If you would like groceries already stocked in the fridge, a special cake, balloons, a personalized gift bag, additional flowers, etc., please message me for details. The cottage is located on a quieter one-way street. However, street noise may be noticeable during peak hours from nearby Monterey Avenue.

House Rules

Please read through the house rules and make sure our property is a good fit for you and your group. Who’s this house for? Our place is PERFECT for friends and families looking to get away to the coast and enjoy a relaxing vacation taking in all that Capitola and Santa Cruz have to offer. Who’s this house NOT for? Those looking to stay up through the night and let loose. Since this is a duplex property, it’s important guests be respectful of their neighbors and our neighborhood by adhering to quite hours between 10pm and 8am. For this reason, the home includes a noise alert monitoring system along with a nest doorbell with a camera in order to ensure our neighborhood and noise levels are respected . HOUSE RULES 1. Only Registered Guests Are Allowed 2. No Parties or Events 3. No Unregistered Guest 4. Quiet Time Between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am 5. No Exception To Check-In and Check-Out Times 6. Pets are limited to one small dog under 40 pounds 7. Damages Exceeding the Deposit Amount Will Be Billed To The Guest And Reported To Airbnb 8. Please treat our rental like your own. If you open it, close it; if you borrow it, return it; if you turn it on, turn it off; if you break it, fix it; if you use it, take care of it; if you make a mess, clean it up; if you move it, put it back. Guests that violate the house rules may be asked to leave.

Neighborhood

The cottage is located in the heart of the Capitola Village-by-the Sea, named by Sunset Magazine as one of the 'best small beach towns in California' and 'amongst the top 20 small towns in the West'. Centrally located, but on a one way street, you are just 1.5 short blocks to Capitola Beach, the restaurants on the Esplanade and shops in town.

Guest Access

Due to the limited nature of parking in the Capitola Village, we are lucky to have a garage. However, anything larger than a mid-sized SUV will not fit in your garage. We do have an additional carport, however, which may be used for larger trucks & SUVs, and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please message me as soon as possible if you would like to use it. There's also street parking all around the cottage, but it can be tough to find a spot on summer weekends. Street parking is limited to two hours between 8AM and 5PM. There's also a large (and very safe) public parking lot at the top of Monterey Avenue, where you can park all day/overnight (up to 72 hrs) at a reasonable rate.

Find us

Most guests who visit and stay in the Capitola Village end up not needing to drive anywhere, as everything is within easy walking distance of your beach house. This beach house comes with the convenience of a parking garage (with EV charger) for one car. It makes it simple to get in & out as you venture to Santa Cruz and the greater Bay Area throughout your stay. Please note that anything larger than a mid-sized SUV will not fit in the garage. We do have a larger carport available as well, on a first come first serve basis, message me to inquire if it is available for your dates.
